Incremental encoder with a solid shaft

The incremental encoder FG 40 with a solid shaft is an extremely rugged and at the same time reliable device to measure speed, which has been designed and built for use in heavy industry applications. As a further development of the proven FG 4 series, it is designed to offer extremely high resistance to shock and vibration loads and high protection class up to IP67. The high-quality signal with up to a million pulses guarantees exact measurement results even under harsh conditions. A second shaft end facilitates coupling further devices. A feature of the compact design is the axial terminal box. As is the case with all Huebner products, it is possible to configure this device to suit individual customer requirements – flange and foot mounted versions are optional depending on the installation situation. If required, it is possible to add an electronic overspeed switch as well as a direction of rotation and standstill detection functionality.
